How many kVA is a 900 kW generator?
900 kW equals 1125 kVA at a power factor of 0.8. Maximum power is 990 kW; the generator can run at it only for short periods, so size by the rated 900 kW with a margin.
What cable is needed for a 900 kW generator?
Rated current up to 1,624 A. Copper cable: 6 runs of 3×150 + 1×70 mm² from the generator to the panel, laid in air or on trays. For long runs or several cables in one trench, our manager will recalculate the cross-section.
How much fuel does the generator use?
At 50% load: 123 L/h, at 75%: 178 L/h, at full load: 229 L/h. Consumption for each model is listed on its product page.
How many hours does a full tank last?
Enclosed generators have a built-in tank that lasts 8–10 hours of operation. For open-frame generators, the tank is available at extra cost.
Enclosed or open-frame?
An enclosed generator is installed outdoors: the all-weather canopy protects against precipitation and reduces noise, and the ATS is already included. An open-frame generator sits on a skid and is installed indoors or in a container; the ATS for it is available at extra cost.
What is the warranty?
Yuchai: 2 years or 1,500 engine hours, whichever comes first.
