Cross-section based on your model's current, copper or aluminium, length and lugs. Select the power:
kW is active power, the power that actually runs your equipment. kVA is apparent power. For generators they are related by a factor of 0.8: 100 kW equals 125 kVA. If another supplier's quote says "125 kVA" and ours says "100 kW", it is the same power.
What are rated and maximum power?
A generator can run at rated power for long periods (PRP mode). Maximum power is sustained only briefly and is about 10% higher; this is standby mode (ESP). Size the generator by rated power with a margin.
What is an ATS and why do you need it?
ATS stands for automatic transfer switch. When mains power fails, it starts the generator automatically and transfers the load to it within seconds. When mains power returns, it switches back and shuts the generator down. Enclosed generators come with an ATS installed; for open-frame units it is available at extra cost.
Enclosed or open-frame generator?
An enclosed generator is installed outdoors: the all-weather canopy protects against precipitation and reduces noise to 65–70 dB. An open-frame unit sits on an open skid and is installed indoors or in a container. It is cheaper, but louder.
What is the warranty?
The Yuchai line has a warranty of 2 years or 1500 engine hours, Weifang and Shanghai 1 year or 1000 engine hours, whichever comes first. An engine hour is one hour of actual engine operation on the hour meter.
How much fuel does a generator use?
It depends on the load. Each model page lists consumption in liters per hour at 50, 75 and 100% load. For example, the Yuchai 100 kW uses 22 L/h at full load.
Do you deliver across Kazakhstan?
Yes. Our office is in Almaty; we deliver throughout Kazakhstan and install and commission on site.
